EK61 Pendant by Esben Klint for Carl Hansen & Søn
Designed in 1961 but never put into production before today, the EK61 Opal Pendant is now launched in glass and wood. Designed by the son of the prominent Danish designer Kaare Klint, Esben Klintâs understated and elegant pendant has remained in the family archives until now.
The modern iteration is crafted in a pleated, elliptical shape from mouth-blown opal glass. Distinctive oak details reminiscent of traditional Chinese lanterns are meticulously turned and honed by hand for a classic expression. EK61 emits soft, indirect light thanks to its careful combination of classic materials.
EK61 is crafted in 3-layer matt opal glass, and supplied with 3m white fabric cord.
